Sometimes it is the good days that get you. When you should feel some respite. When you are involved in life and things are happening.

But then it hits you. It grabs you by the heart and tells you that your loved one is not there to share this moment with you.

And then the sadness takes over. The loss of love and connection overwhelms you. That feeling of being more alone. The anguish of never being able to share anything again with the person you love. And then the grief becomes a sad longing, and an unanswered call into the universe for the exchange of love you once experienced.

Every self help book in the world will never replace the feeling of connection you yearn for. It might get easier to cope but that pain of longing and loss does not diminish. It almost seems to grow larger with time and with a life that marches on without them.
