What is the defualt position of the mind at rest? Empty, vacant, and in the present moment, or whirring away throughout the day, processing thoughts, observations, past performance, planning for the future and filing information for future usage?
Are we meant to empty our minds or are we meant to push them to think?
It feels so challenging to maintain a sense of calm and to get things done! Nuance is not my strong suit and I find it difficult to perform unless I am under pressure. The more anxious I feel, the more I get done. This has been my challenge to find that balance between calm and effective.
